Terroir

This wine comes from a plot located near the village of Saint Victor La Coste, on the right bank of the Rhône. The vinyeard is planted on North facing hilllsides, the most exposed to the wind. The soils are predominantly sandy-clay mixed with layers of rolled pebbles. A thick forest surrounds the plot and makes a natural border.

Varietals

Grenache 60% and Syrah 40%. The vines are 50 years of age.

Winemaking And Ageing

Yields are around 25hl/ha. Each varietal is vinified  separately using natural yeasts in cement vats. The wines are blended before ageing for 12 months in old French oak demi-muids.
